Laura is a Journalist for the Nine Network and currently works on long-form investigative pieces. She has been a broadcast journalist since 2005 and in that time has covered some incredible events in history.

In 2017 Laura returned home from her posting as US Correspondent for the Nine Network, where she travelled extensively throughout the United States reporting daily on the historic election campaign of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Laura was the only Australian journalist inside Donald Trump’s victory party when he won the presidency, a moment which shocked the world. Laura also reported live from Washington DC for the inauguration of Donald Trump and the protests that followed.

Laura also headed up extensive live rolling coverage of the then biggest mass shooting is US history in Orlando Florida when a gunman murdered 49 nightclub goers, and she was reporting live in San Bernadino California as the biggest terrorist attack on US soil since 9/11 unfolded.

Laura was also live on Channel 9 from Cuba when Former President Barack Obama became the first US President to set foot in the communist country in nearly a century.

In her time as Crime Reporter for Channel Nine Melbourne, Laura was recognised for excellence in Journalism with a ‘Quill award’ for her exclusive story and footage of an ice user who savagely attacked a Melbourne bus driver, and covered some of the biggest murder and crime cases the state has seen.

Laura also covered the tragic air travel disasters of MH370 and MH17, travelling to Kuala Lumper and Amsterdam respectively.

Laura is a proud supporter of causes for child protection, drug and alcohol support services and law reform. By telling the story of her sister’s tragic death to drug overdose in 2017, Laura helped force major legislative change in Victoria, with the introduction of Victoria’s first Safe Injecting Room trial.
